I have a pair of those lighted porch trees that have a decorative base. Unfortunately, the bases are not very heavy and the trees fall over when it's windy. I gave up last winter on them, but would really like to put them out again for Christmas. Any suggestions on how to keep them standing up? There's no room to add anything to the base and I don't want to use any kind of glue on my concrete porch.I would love an answer to this as well. We live in a wind tunnel so I can't decorate outdoors without everything taking off. It's difficult enough for me to keep a wreath on the door. I would assume that decorations have to be cement based in order to stay put but the costs of those are usually extremely high.I use bungee cords to hold up my tree's, that is if you have something to anchor them down with, such as a wall or a post.
Maybe you can place bricks in the pot?
:-)I tie mine down with fishing line. I tie the on opposite sides, to the railings and that way no matter what the wind blows, they are both secure.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
