Animals in Islam? Please Help Me =D?

  • Hello all,

I was wondering what happens to animals when they pass away according to islam? Obviously they have souls and they can think and feel. Is there an "animal heaven" or do they go to the same heaven as humans? and how is their life judged? Give me as much info as you know.

    Shukran :-)

  • On the Day of Judgment, all creatures will be resurrected and gathered together.

    God says:

"And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together" (Quran, 81:5)

    And:

"There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered" (Quran, 6:38)

The Prophet's disciple, Ibn Abbas, said: "Everything will be gathered, even the flies."

On that Day, the animals will get their just compensation. So if one cow was hit with the horn of another cow, then it will be the reverse and the cow that got hit will hit the other with its horn. The reason for this is that God is The Most Just, and therefore He must deliver Justice and due compensation for every living thing, from the smallest insect to the most giant dinosaur.

Then after that--after they receive just compensation--God will say "Be dust!" And then the animals will turn to dust and be no more.

  • Yep, when animals die - then that's it. They don't have an afterlife (quite scary when you think about it) So treat your kitty nicely because when he dies then that's the end of the road for him.
The reason is Allah (swt) said in the Quran He created humans & jinn to worship Allah (swt) no mention of animals. Animals do have free will, but it's different. They have a different purpose in this world.

Edit: I dunno, I guess their souls just die and they tunr to dust. I know its hard to understand but thats just the power of Allah swt, He is too great for us.

  • Animals go nowhere !!!!!!!!!! ...........Allah Knows !!!!!!!!

The day of Judgment is only for Humans and Jinns (Demons) !!!!!!!!!

  • They don't go anywhere. They exist only for us to ride on, pull things, carry baggage, feed us and give us milk. When animals die they turn to sand. They don't go to Jinnah or Jahannam.

  • All creations have a "judgment day" or some sort ... read Quran, Surah Takwir, verse 5.

  • No there is no animal heaven

they just die and thats it, they end

    khalas

  • Muslims think of animals as food and service only. Check out the site below and click on Koran at the top of the page.

  • Yeah Im sorry but they do not come along with us to paradise...which is interesting because ive also heard that they are judged tooo...but they dont enter paradise Allah Knows best!@

  • Beebo it is best to go to your local mosque and ask the imam (is that what they are called, I think) - he will give you the best info, or go to the library and or online and research it, it's a good question.

Random people on here won't know much and some are just going to post nasty and mean things, just ignore them babe.

    Hope I helped x

  • nothing happens.

animals are here as their only life, and there is no hesven or hell for animals.

animals come back on the day of judgement and get judged, then they can take revenge on whoever hurt them, and then they will turn into dust on/by allah's command.

  • In my eyes you should think first for your ownself to end up in a nice place... Than you will receive whatever you wish...

It was narrated from Sulaymaan ibn Buraydah from his father that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),
O Messenger of Allaah, are there horses in Paradise? He said, If Allaah admits you to Paradise, any time you wish to be carried on a horse of red rubies that will fly with you wherever you want in Paradise, you will do that.

Another man asked him, O Messenger of Allaah, will there be camels in Paradise? and he did not say to him something like he said to his companion. He said, If Allaah admits you to Paradise, you will have there whatever your heart desires.

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2543; this hadeeth was classed as hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 3/522.

  • When animals die that is it..that is the end of their life. They will not be called for reckoning...and on that day many of us will wish we where a birdie or a Kittie.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble (to those who thinks there is doggy heaven or kitty heaven) there isn't, when they die they simply die.

    :)

  • I dont know for 100% sure, but what I do know is that since animals dont have feelings like humans, u know the whole soul thing, I guess therefore they cant be judged, just like angels are infallible, animals are sort of the opposite.

procbably shouldnt be saying this, but u r mmmm mmmm.
