I'd like to find out the total number of commercial web sites broken
down by size and geographical locations.
The geographical location just needs to be USA and non USA. Size
should be small, medium and large companies. I'm open to using
whatever definitions are used in the reports for these sizes.A Google search on [ site:com ]:
returns 129 million sites that have a .com extension.
Are you interested in knowing the US vs non-US breakdown of this
number, or do you have something else in mind when you ask about
"commercial" sites?
Let us know.
pafalafa-gaActually, this search... [ inurl:com ] is probably more relevant:
and returns 1.8 billion websites!Hello drormata-ga,
Good day!
When you refer to "commercial web sites", do you mean:
a) web sites ending with a .com, or
b) web sites owned by business, or
c) web sites that are involved in e-commerce?
The reason I am asking for this clarification is that there are owned
by business but do not have a .com extension. To complicate matter
further, an individual can also register a .com domain.
However, if your intention is to find more information about the .com
domain, I can try to find the answer.
It is worthwile to note here that the number of .com registrations is
far more than the number of "live" web sites.
Regards,
reeteshv-ga
