mysql error number: 1130

    So what caused this then
    Database error in vBulletin :

    Link-ID == false, connect failed
    mysql error: Host 'infong176.kundenserver.de' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

    mysql error number: 1130

    infong176.kundenserver.de was not what I typed in originally.
    also yesterday I had a similar one 1105 - I think.

    Please do not give me an answer full of technical stuff as I am just an average webmaster!

    I just want to know simply what the problem is and how I solve it.

  • You need to post the exact errors. If you only received that one once, then I wouldn't worry about.

    As for the email issue, uou will need to view the mail logs on the server to see what happened to those emails. Once vB sends it to PHP it's in the hands of the server.

    For what it's worth I get a lot of bounced emails from people who's mail boxes are full or over quota. This is a particular problem with hotmail and yahoo accounts. Unless you are on a dedicated server and can set where these bounce messages go, you will never see them. The mail logs will have a record of these though.

    If you are on a shared server you may need to ask your host to look through the logs for you.

    Yes the Yahoo/Hotmail sounds plausible as I get that quite often when I send out the newsletter.

    The email just appears in my inbox.
    One yesterday, One today.
    Different error.

    Is it something happening on user sign up?
    A couple have said that they never got a confirmation email
