XBMC as Dashboard with softmod

  • hy, i have try to set my XBMC as dashboard like this way http://xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=As_a_Dashboard but it did not work

    My xbox is softmod(with save game) and my dashboard is unleashx

    I have follow all the step but it did nothing and in my directory C: I only have xboxdash.xbe?????
    someone can help me ??

  • If your softmod indeed points to E:dashboarddefault.xbe, here is what I believe you need to do. I've modified the instructions which I found in the online instruction manual here (http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=As_a_Dashboard).

    1. Rename E:dashboarddefault.xbe to defaultbackup.xbe (just in case)
    2. Download the XBMC Shortcut XBE (http://xbmc.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/xbmc/XBMC/tools/ShortcutXBE/default.xbe) and rename it default.xbe
    3. Upload the renamed XBE to E:dashboarddefault.xbe
    4. create a text file and put the path to the XBMC default.xbe inside it (eg. E:AppsXBMCdefault.xbe). Rename to default.cfg. Upload it to E:dashboarddefault.xbe
    5. Reboot

    I'm not an expert but based on my experience this will do the trick.

    in my C partition, I have only one .xbe file and it's xboxdash
    there is no .cfg file

    the only .cfg file I found is in c/softmod/4541000d/0000000/boot.cfg
    in that same folder I have evoxdash.xbe and unleashx.xbe

    my softmode seem to use the file E/dashboard/default.xbe to start my unleashx dashboard
    I have try couple of thing but nothing have worked
