  • How are the equation for the respiration and photosynthesis related


  • Respiration: C6H12O6+6O2 ----------> 6CO2+6H2O+36ATP

    Photosynthisis: 6CO2 + 6H2O + Light Energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2

    As you can see, they are the reverse of each other! =)



  • The equation for respiration is the equation for photosynthesis reversed, and vice versa.


  • in cellular resperation, the product of Photosynthesis turns into the reactant of cellurlar resperation..

    Product -----> Reactant

    Basically their equations are the backwards of eachother; the two are reversible.
