Can you provide a list for me on what foods have high proteins?
Almonds : are one of the few foods that have a complete protein all by itself. They do have some fat but they are still pretty good for you
chick peas: these are tasty in salads or soups and are chocked full of protein.
SOY PRODUCTS:
tofu: is actually very tasty in stir fry's and mixed dishes as it takes on the flavor of what it is cooked in.
soy nuts: tasty for snacking
edomame: is the soy bean you boil it in water and then sprinkle lightly with salt. You eat the beans out of the pod. Sounds kind of gross but it is actually really tasty.
You should also note that if you are not a vegetarian some fish and chicken are very low in fat and high in protein. This is of course as long as they are not fried or deep fried or served with fattening sauces.
Steak,
chicken,
Turkey,
Lamb,
Porridge,
Beans,
Apples,
Milk,
Cerials,
Peanuts,
Peanut butter,
milo,
pasta,
beef,
all meats and of course eggs.
So it can be easy to remember. First, if it comes from an animal (meat itself, dairy products, yogurt, cheese, eggs...etc...) it always has protein it it. Then there are the plant proteins. Beans, legumes, and nuts are sources of plant protein. Anything that comes from these sources of course also have protein. This includes soy nuts, soy protein powder, soy chips,etc..also peanut butter.
