Your M/B supports Dual-Channel DDR2 -1066/800/667.
It is best to run 4x1gb of 800 ram in two sets of dual channel. For 32bit Windows O.S. less then 4GB will be identified by the O.S.
Your 1066 DDR2 RAM is probably defaulting to a "safe" setting that doesn't require an increased voltage. This is usually done to ensure that the machine can boot after the CMOS settings are cleared or reset. I recommend you do the following:
1) Burn the memtest86+ ISO onto a CD and boot from it. Make sure your memory is coming up in dual channel mode and note the timings. Note the speed (the GB/s value for your RAM). Let it run for a half an hour or so just to make sure your RAM isn't defective.
2) Set your BIOS settings to the voltages and timings that are recommended for your RAM. Reboot into memtest86+. Make sure the speeds and timings are what you expect. Note the speed, it should be faster. Let it run for several hours to make sure your RAM is stable.
3) If things worked at stop 2, you can stop here. You are getting your advertised speeds, and you know things are stable. If things didn't work at step 2, back off on the timings or speeds or increase the voltage (CAREFULLY!).
4) If you want to overclock, and things worked at step 2, you can start trying higher speeds or lower latencies.
5) When you're done and happy, leave memtest86+ running for at least two full cycles of all the tests, usually several hours. Do not even boot into your OS if your memory is not 100% stable.
Good luck.
